Foreword
The
Library of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry was set up in 1965, the
year of establishing the Chamber, with the aim of catering to
the information needs of the Dubai business community.
It is the oldest library of its kind in the region.

and indexed in accordance with international standards. An

audiovisual section for CD ROMs and videotapes was set up to cope with the
state of art business libraries all over the world. The inauguration of
the library homepage and the services it encompasses, is an apparent land
mark towards the completion of the “E-Library” project, in which
digital library technologies enable users to reach information wherever
